INTRODUCTION TO MyROAD

Welcome to MyRoad.
The website, My Road, is not only user-friendly but it is the most comprehensive, integrated, and personalized education and career planning experience available online. MyRoad is recommended for all high school students regardless of grade level. This program was purchased by Archbishop Spalding and is free to Spalding students. The purpose of this introduction to MyRoad is to explain its primary components. MyRoad is divided into six different components:

ID Me: ID Me has three questionnaires to help personalize your search. The student needs to take the two Quick Start tests, one for majors and one for careers, as well as the Personality Profiler. The results give you a list of majors and careers that match your interests and personality.

Majors: This is where majors are listed to find out different aspects as well as topics related to the major.

Colleges: This section allows you to search for colleges by location, type, campus life, majors, admissions, and sports. It provides general info, campus programs, academic programs, sports and activities, admissions, tests, financial aid and expenses. In addition, each college has a link to its own website.

Careers: The career section gives you an overview of careers, career tracks, requirements, compensation, possibilities for advancement and perspectives in the field.

My Plan: This is where you can keep your ideas, thoughts, interests, and other information as you go along. (Usually by clicking the update button in each section.)

Insights: This section contains articles and other information related to each component of MyRoad.

Please see your guidance counselor for the code to access MyRoad and begin the post secondary planning process.
