Spalding has upgraded to Office 2007 for this year. This version creates files differently than previous versions of Office. This could cause some compatibility issues for our students who are using an older version of Office at home. Microsoft has created a Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 files. We use it here. It is a free download available at:

Once it is installed, it works without any further attention.
