Rob McBride, CSCS -- Head Strength & Conditioning Coach
Rob McBride is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength & Conditioning Association. He holds a BA in Exercise Science & Physical Education from Western Maryland College. His strength and conditioning experience comes from a variety of levels ranging from high school to the professional level. Rob coached football at Western Maryland College for two years and organized the off-season conditioning program. From there he joined with the Cal Ripken Jr. Acceleration Center where he was a Strength & Conditioning Coach training athletes from the NFL, MLB, and NCAA. He has been training high school athletes for the past 7 years and has helped many go on to the college level. Some of the professional athletes that Rob has worked with include: Mike Bordick, Baltimore Orioles, BJ Surhoff, Baltimore Orioles, Gary Gait, Major League Lacrosse, Brian Reese, Major League Lacrosse, Jayson Werth, Philadelphia Phillies and Gavin Floyd, Chicago White Sox . Rob has been at Spalding since 2003 teaching Physical Education. He spent 3 years on the Varsity Football staff and a year and a half as the Assistant Athletic Director. He and his wife Kari (Spalding '94) have a son Riley and a daughter Ally.
